HiSign is more than just a game—it’s an interactive sign language experience designed to break communication barriers. By combining education with play, it offers an exciting learning experience. Players of all backgrounds can develop signing skills while connecting and communicating with others. Perfect for families, friends, educators, and students, HiSign helps bridge communication gaps between the deaf and hearing communities. It encourages meaningful interactions and promotes a more inclusive world.

Meet Mahek!

The first deaf inventor of HiSign and entrepreneur, Mahek aims to create innovative solutions that make a difference for both deaf and hearing communities. She studied graphic design at SAE Institute Dubai, UAE, and created a game project for her capstone in 2021. After discovering the challenges faced by deaf communities, she transformed a simple game into interactive learning experience that helps fosters inclusivity and connection.

Her project was recognized as one of the top 60 projects in the Global Grad Show 2021 in MENA, Dubai. The board game was also played at her organization, Dubizzle Group, Dubai, during the International Sign Language celebrations in 2022 and 2023 and and also featured at AccessAbilities Expo 2025, the largest exhibition for People of Determination in the Middle East region.
